With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cash Nathaniel Warren, lovingly known as "Castro," who left us on January 17, 2025, in LaPlata, Maryland, at the age of 44. Born on December 15, 1980, at DC General Hospital in Washington, DC, Cash’s life was a testament to his strength, dedication, and the deep love he had for his family and community.
Cash was a devoted construction worker who made significant contributions to various local projects, lending his expertise to companies such as Shaw Construction Co., State Highway, and Facchina Construction. His reliability and strong work ethic were admired by his colleagues. Cash took pride in his craft and was always dependable
Educated through the Charles County Public Schools system, Cash was not only a hardworking individual but also a visionary thinker. He was a visionary, someone who encouraged the next generation and always found a way to support those around him. Known for his candid nature, Cash stood firm in his beliefs and was never afraid to speak his truth, even when it wasn’t popular. He valued honesty and loyalty, qualities that made him a cherished friend and mentor to many.
In addition to his work and community involvement, Cash had a deep love for music, particularly rap and freestyle. He enjoyed sharing his passion for music with those close to him. His love for life was also evident in his loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys, a team he proudly supported.
Cash’s family meant the world to him. He leaves behind his sons, Dezmond McDowell, Dejon Warren, Darius Warren, and Christopher Warren, who were the pride of his life. He is also survived by his loving mother, Catherine "Brenda" Warren, his brothers Ed Warren, Kevin Warren, Eric "Birdy" Warren, Marcus Bivins, and his bonus brother Raymond Warren Jr. He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Estelle Warren, stepfather Pete Bivins Sr., and his sister, Angie Thomas, bonus daughter Destiny. Cash is also remembered with love by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Cash’s untimely departure has left a hole in the lives of those who knew him. His presence, laughter, and guidance will be deeply missed, but his legacy of strength, love, and loyalty will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Cash’s life will be held in the coming days, with details to be shared soon.
