D'Andre Malik Williams

In loving memory of D'Andre Malik Williams, affectionately known as "Kobe," a vibrant spirit who graced this world on November 21, 1995, in Washington, DC. With a heart full of laughter and love, he departed unexpectedly on February 16, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories that will remain forever etched in the hearts of his family and friends.

D'Andre was a building maintenance worker for Charles County Public Schools, where his dedication and hard work reflected not just in his career but in all aspects of his life. Educated through the Charles County Public Schools system, he proudly graduated in 2014 from McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland. His educational journey was not merely a phase but a foundation upon which he built an extraordinary life.

He was a fierce protector of his family, embodying loyalty and love in everything he did. A true leader among his peers, D'Andre was known for his playful personality. He had a unique ability to light up any room with his humor, often making an entrance just as food arrived, ready to sprinkle joy on dinner gatherings. His playful banter, laden with punchlines like “gone on with your goofy $%*,” paired with an affectionate roasting of those around him, became the fabric of his interactions. His familiar refrain, “I gotchu, you know I love ya right,” resonated deeply with those who were fortunate enough to receive his unmistakable warmth.

D'Andre was not just a jokester; he was a man of varied interests. He cherished creating music videos and rapping, harmonizing his love for music with his passion for fashion, showcasing a style uniquely his own. Those who knew him could attest to his love for food, his affectionate embraces that wrapped you in a cocoon of comfort, and his charm that left a lasting impression. A devoted father, he took immense pride in being a dad to his two darling children, Ny'omi Marie Williams and Naudia Milan Williams, whom he adored beyond measure.

As he navigated life, D'Andre often contemplated service in the military alongside his brother, inquiring about enlistment—a testament to his character of duty and brotherhood. Though he never had the chance to fulfill that aspiration, his protective nature and affectionate spirit embodied the true essence of a guardian.

D'Andre leaves behind a loving mother, Andrea Williams-Washington, and a devoted father, William Washington. He is survived by his siblings: India, Devan (Tiara), Devan Freeland, Whitney, and Jabriel Williams, who will forever hold dear the precious moments they shared. The indelible marks left by his maternal grandparents Randolph and Patricia Williams and paternal grandparents William Henery and Sherann Washington serve as a reminder of his rich familial heritage into which he was born.

His departure, sudden and untimely, has left a void that can never be filled, but we find solace in the legacy of laughter, love, and loyalty he leaves behind. D'Andre Malik Williams may have departed this world, yet his spirit will continue to shine in the laughter of loved ones and the hugs that envelop us, reminding us always of the beautiful, goofy, and affectionate soul that he was.
