Demetrius Brandon Weeden

Demetrius Brandon Weeden, age 40, of Lake Frederick, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Though his life was far too brief, it was filled with purpose, love, and meaningful connections that touched everyone who knew him.

Born on June 12, 1985, in Leonardtown, Maryland, Demetrius was the beloved son of Demetrius Earl Weeden and Daphne Jean (Moore) Weeden. He was a graduate of Westlake High School in Waldorf, Maryland, and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Strayer University. Demetrius built a successful career in hospitality and was employed as the Regional Director of Hotel Sales for the Aikens Group in Winchester, where he was respected for his leadership, dedication, and professionalism.

Demetrius was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. His warm spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness shone through in every interaction—whether with family, friends, coworkers, or strangers. He had a rare gift for creating meaningful bonds and was always willing to help others without hesitation.

Faith was an important part of Demetrius’s life. He was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church in Strasburg and a former member of New Community Church of God and Christ in Waldorf, Maryland.

Above all else, family was Demetrius’s greatest priority. He was a devoted and loving father, and his daughters meant the world to him. He was also deeply involved in his community, volunteering as a coach and mentor with the Stonewall Bandits Youth Football organization, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of many young athletes.

In addition to his parents, Demetrius is survived by his cherished daughters, Ameira and Irie Weeden; his sister, Denae Weeden; aunts and uncles Robert Moore, Deanna Nored (Kermit), Erline Berkley, Norman Moore, Windy Boyce (Gordon), Kevin Moore, Michael Sommerville (Nancy), Roland Weeden Jr. (Cassandra), and Doreen Woodland (Mark); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Janet Moore, and his paternal grandparents, Roland and Agnes Weeden.

Demetrius Brandon Weeden will always be remembered as a devoted father, a reliable friend, a compassionate mentor, and a man whose kindness and generosity left a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
