Elaine F. Suber a gentle soul a loving heart, departed this world unexpectedly on January 26, 2026, in White Plains, Maryland. Born on June 19, 1961, at Freedman Hospital in Washington, DC, Elaine brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
Elaine graduated high school and continued her education by earning an associate degree in early childhood development. Known for her kind and gentle spirit, she had a special affinity for children and animals, especially her beloved dogs, Genesis and Gemma. Though life took unexpected turns, and she faced challenges due to disability in her late twenties, Elaine never wavered in her positivity. She found solace at her adult day program, Vesta, where her good nature and role model status left a lasting impression on those around her. The trips they took to the movies and the buffet were among her cherished experiences, filled with laughter and companionship.
Elaine’s hobbies also brought her joy. She had a passion for writing and crocheted daily, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and care. Her quiet demeanor was complemented by a sweet spirit and a delightful sense of humor that made those around her feel valued.
Elaine's family will deeply miss her presence. She leaves behind her beloved sisters, Betty Suber and Valerie Suber-Young, her brother Spencer Suber, and her brother-in-law Armbrey Young. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Dineen Suber and her cherished nieces—Brooke, Shiloh, Corrina, and Hannah—as well as her loving nephews, Malachi, Tre, Kingston, and Ethan.
Preceding her in death were her dear parents, Leroy and Bessie Suber, who instilled in her the values of family unity, honest work, respect, kindness and compassion. Though Elaine's time with us was far too short, she leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and artistic spirit that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. As we remember Elaine, we celebrate her life, which was a beautiful mosaic of sweetness and strength—a gentle reminder of the love that exists in our world.
A private service for immediate family was held January 2026.
