Elaine Frances Suber

Elaine Frances Suber, born on June 19, 1961, at Freedman Hospital in Washington, DC, graced the lives of those who knew her until her unexpected passing at home on January 26, 2026, in White Plains, Maryland. Elaine's journey through life, enriched with kindness and a gentle spirit, will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Growing up, Elaine fostered a deep love for the simple pleasures in life, particularly her fondness for desserts, with carrot cake holding a special place in her heart. Her affection extended beyond treats to children and animals alike, especially the beloved family dogs, Genesis and Gemma, who brought joy to her days.

Elaine was not just a lover of sweets; she possessed a profound sense of purpose. After graduating from Bladensburg High School in Prince Georges County Maryland, she achieved her associates degree in early childhood development, driven by her passion for nurturing young minds. Although life took a different turn when she became disabled in her late twenties, Elaine did not let this define her. She spent many fulfilling days at her adult day program, Vesta, where her radiant spirit shone bright. Recognized as a good role model, she cherished the friendships and experiences she cultivated there, enjoying adventures such as trips to the movies and delightful buffet outings.

A creative soul, Elaine found joy in writing and crocheting, devoting her days to crafting beautiful handmade creations. Her hobbies not only reflected her artistry but also provided an outlet for her sweet spirit and humor. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will forever remember her quiet demeanor and the warmth she consistently radiated.

Elaine leaves behind a caring family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her cherished sisters, Betty Suber and Valerie Suber-Young, along with her brother-in-law, Armbrey Young, and brother Spencer Suber, as well as her sister-in-law, Dineen Suber. She also leaves behind a legion of devoted nieces – Brooke, Shiloh, Corrina, and Hannah – and nephews Malachi, Tre, Kingston, and Ethan, who were fortunate to experience her love and guidance.

Though her parents, Leroy and Bessie Suber, have passed, Elaine's legacy will continue to resonate through her loving family and friends. Elaine Frances Suber touched many lives with her kindness and gentle spirit, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished forever. As we remember Elaine, we celebrate her sweet spirit, her love for life, and the indelible mark she has left on all our hearts. A private service will be held on Friday, January 30th, 2026.
