John A. Hebb, born on August 20, 1953, in Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Lexington Park, Maryland. He lived a life marked by joy, laughter, and a vibrant spirit that illuminated the lives of all who knew him.
John worked as a construction worker, dedicating himself to his career with the same passion he brought to every aspect of his life. He was not just an employee; he was a beacon of positivity on job sites, known for his infectious smile that could light up any room.
Educated through the St. Mary's Public School System, John carried with him a wealth of memories and a personality that made him the life of any party. He had a love for dancing that was unrivaled; when he hit the dance floor, his exuberant shouts of "Ahhh haaaaaaa" could be heard, adding to the jubilant atmosphere. Those who shared meals with him often found themselves amused by his unique culinary preferences. John's favorite snacks were as colorful as his personality; from pickles on his PBJ sandwiches to potato salad sandwiches, cold cereal with bread, he knew how to satisfy his cravings. His sweet tooth was particularly drawn to Little Debbie snacks, which were always a welcome treat.
John's interests extended beyond food and dancing. He had a passion for watching "Star Trek," along with country westerns and classic black-and-white films, relishing the moments spent enjoying the stories with family and friends.
John is survived by his loving wife, Denise Hebb, and his cherished children: Denise (Terrance) Gibson, Antonio Hebb, Adriene Hebb, Troy Hebb, and John Alexander Hebb Jr. He is also fondly remembered by his siblings: Margret Holt, Richard Hebb, and Gladys (Walter) Hyson, along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of laughter and love.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Hebb, as well as his siblings: Charles I. Hebb Jr., Joseph A. Hebb, Florence Asnette Chase, Peter Xavier Hebb, Charles Holt, and Diane Hebb and stepson Mario Reed.
John A. Hebb leaves behind a vivid legacy filled with laughter, unforgettable dance moves, and a heart that was deeply devoted to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
