Kenneth Charles Darrell Jr.
Kenneth Charles Darrell Jr., known to many as “Darrell” or “D,” passed away June 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, rhythm, and unforgettable memories.
Darrell “D” was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ivory Darrell-Voss, whose love and guidance remained with him throughout his life.
His memory will be forever treasured by his beloved daughters, Xenia Elvis and Ashland; devoted sisters, Kimberly Darrell-Glenn (husband Mike) of NC and Kerina “Xena” Darrell of MD; father, Kenneth Darrell Sr. of Bermuda; stepfather, Herbert “Worm” Voss of NC; niece, Keabrina; nephews, Kyron and Kuirdai; stepsisters; stepbrothers; and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever hold close the memories of a man who filled every room with laughter, music, warmth, and love.
Though he has left this world, there is comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved mother (Holla Gal), whose passing left a space in his heart that never truly healed. Their bond was deep, tender, and unbreakable, rooted in love, guidance, and the strength she instilled in him from childhood. In moments of joy, he felt her presence. In moments of struggle, he leaned on her memory. And now, as he journeys forward, he goes to a place where her arms are open, her spirit bright, and her love waiting.
For those who loved him, there is peace in imagining the reunion—mother and son together again, whole, smiling, and surrounded by the warmth they shared. Her legacy lives through him, and now their spirits rest side by side, watching over the daughters, sisters, and family they cherished so deeply.
Born with a free spirit and a heart tuned to joy, he found happiness in simple and soulful things. Reggae music wasn’t just a (Genre) to him, it was a lifestyle, a heartbeat, a way he connected with the world. Whether he was relaxing to classic tracks or spinning his own mixes as “DJ Dfauzal-Warwick,” music was his sanctuary, his peace, and his escape.
He also had a deep love for fishing, finding peace by the water with a rod in hand, surrounded by nature and good company. Those quiet moments—sunrise on the shore, laughter with friends, the thrill of a catch—were some of his happiest times.
