Michael Antonio Barnes

On June 14th, 2025, our beloved Michael Antonio Barnes, affectionately known as “Breezy” by friends and family, transitioned from this earthly life. Michael was born to Paula Elizabeth Perry and Morgan Perry Jr. on November 18th, 1985, in Washington, DC. He was the oldest of his siblings. Michael attended Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated from Crossland High School in 2002. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to HipHop and R&B, as well as watching his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys. He was known for his off the wall sense of humor and his passionate love for his best friend and soulmate, Janella Nolan. He worked in numerous capacities throughout his life, including labor, retail, and construction. His memory is carried on by his two daughters, Makaya Barnes and Laneisha Sewell, his son, O’Marie Barnes, his brothers, De’Lonte Medley and Larry (Choc) Medley Jr., his sister, London Medley, his mother, Paula Elizabeth Perry, his Grandmother, Elizabeth Pearl Barnes, his Uncle James Barnes and his “Dad” Larry Medley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tae’Qarie Medley JaeVeon Medley, , Jah’syan Medley, Alanna Medley, Yasin Medley, Alora King, and A’ronni Medley, his cousins, Nate Galloway, De’Atre Perkins, Jakeira Barnes, his spiritual sons Jamarcus and King, and a host of family and friends.
