Mykela Kitt, born on July 28, 2000, in Washington, DC, was a vibrant soul who gracefully touched the lives of many before her untimely and unexpected passing February 18 2026. Mykela was a devoted member of her community and served as a security guard, bringing her dedication and keen sense of responsibility to her work. She graduated from the DC Public School System in the class of 2018 from Anacostia, where she was known for her spirited personality.

Mykela was full of life, always sporting a radiant smile and a contagious laugh. She possessed an innate ability to uplift those around her with her silliness and love for good times. Her creativity shined through her interests in fashion and sewing, and she was ever so stylish whenever she stepped out of her home. Mykela's independent and hardworking nature served as a testament to her character. She was fiercely loyal to her loved ones, standing by them and supporting them in all their endeavors.

Services honoring Mykela Kitt will be held at Corinth Baptist Church located at 814 Cypresstree Dr, Capitol Heights, MD, on March 14, 2026. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with service to start at 11:00 A.M., followed by interment at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD, starting at 1:15 PM. 

Mykela's spirit will forever linger in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and her legacy will continue to inspire others to live joyfully and authentically.
